LILLIE’S Q STORY
It is no surprise to those who know Quito & Teresa
McKenna that in their semi-retirement years they
would own a barbecue restaurant. In 1976, Quito
began his passion for excellent BBQ while assisting
a good friend cooking California -style BBQ. Until
his retirement in 1993, Quito had shipped thousands
of pounds of BBQ around the world.
After his retirement Quito began entering BBQ
contests throughout the south, honing his skills as a
BBQ Pit-master. In 2007 he won the World
championship BBQ contest Memphis in May. Now
the two of them have turned their passion into a business.
